Sarah Jessica Parker and Forest Whitaker are among a group of stars enlisted by the White House to help push President Barack Obama's arts initiatives.

Actors Edward Norton and Alfre Woodard, cellist Yo-Yo Ma and Vogue Anna Wintour have also been chosen to take part.

Vice President Joe Biden will install the 25 new members of the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities.

The committee will be led by George Stevens Jr, founder of the American Film Institute, and Broadway producer Margo Lion.
