25 Nov, 5:37 PM

Will Danyl Johnson be strutting his stuff on The X Factor?

Danyl Johnson could be putting on his dancing shoes for The X Factor this weekend, according to Brian Friedman.

The show's creative director said the final five finalists would be performing two songs each, including one upbeat number.

"Danyl can't mask behind a ballad anymore, it's finally time for him to do an up-tempo and maybe dance - that's my hope," Brian said.

He went on: "We'll get in the studio tomorrow and see what we can come up with.

"He dances around in some of the group numbers, but in group numbers you can't really show up the other people so everything has to stay pretty much in unison.

"But for this we can pull out his best things so we can show the world."

Brian also admitted he would miss working with John And Edward, who were booted off the show on Sunday.

"I think I am going to miss them," said Brian. "They brought a certain sense of playtime to the middle of the afternoon and although it was obnoxious at times, it was fun. They made me feel like I was a kid again."
